I do not consider myself to be a coffee snob, but I do need at least two cups in the morning and in-room coffee does not usually cut it for me. We will be staying at the Old Faithful Inn for three nights...can anyone give me an idea of what I can expect? If nothing good at the Inn, is there anything nearby that will suffice? Do I need to bring my own flavored creamer?

Or am I best to wean myself from the habit before we go?

Bring your own coffee maker. The Old Faithful breakfast never struck me as being gourmet anything.

No Starbucks in West Yellowstone.

If you can, take your own coffee maker (even if French press), coffee, filters, etc. You can probably find some good coffee in West Yellowstone but that's a ways to go when you're still in your jammies in the morning and hunkering for a load of caffiene

I live in Bozeman where there is an independent coffee joint on just about ever corner. If you're going through here pick up some good java to go.

Well, it's been 4 years, but I was VERY surprised to find Green Mountain coffee in the lobby before breakfast opened in the morning. Perhaps you wouldn't consider that gourmet, but as a "fussy" coffee drinker, I prefer it over many other brands.

I don't remember flavored creamers since I don't use them. Also, I think the coffee at breakfast was just average.

Oops, forgot to say....

When sitting on the balcony/deck early in the morning, perhaps wrapped in sweat shirt or blanket, watching various geysers, it really didn't matter which coffee I was sipping. Everything was magical.

There's also a little diner-coffee shop/store outside the Inn that has good breakfasts and, as I recall, pretty good coffee. It seems like there was a coffee bar somewhere in the lobby area of the Inn, too. I know I got coffee to take outside and watch Old Faithful, and I sure didn't get it from the restaurant.

I like my coffee boiled over a campfire. Two good sips early on a cold frosty morning and the olde eyes will pop wide open.. ..

When we travel by auto, we carry a coffee maker and accoutrement in the trunk just in case we find ourselves in need of a good cup of coffee.

I recall coffee being in large pots in the lobby in the mornings. We were there last fall, and I'm fairly certain it was at the OFI.

Also at the Yellowstone Hotel, just outside the breakfast room.
