Hello. My family and I will be staying in Siesta Key this coming July (thanks to a recommendation by one of your members). Is Tampa the closest airport to our destination? Thanks in advance for your help.

Actually it's Sarasota Bradenton (SRQ). But it's a smaller airport than Tampa and may not have flights that are from your area. In addition the fares are sometimes higher so check out both of them.

TPA - Tampa International
PIE - St.Petersburg/Clearwater
SRQ - Sarasota/Brandenton (the closest to Siesta Key)

but as stated above, depending on the airline it can be limited and in most cases somewhat more expensive, at the same time it's convenient, so if the difference is $50 or less, choose SRQ. Anything above $50 difference, you will have to decide. It's about 1:15-:30 drive from TPA to the island if you know what you're doing, possibly longer if you're first timer.

SRQ-Siesta Key is about 20 minutes at worst.
