Clearwater Beach--smaller hotel off beach?
I've searched Fodor's for Clearwater BEach but all that is mentioned are the larger hotels on the beach. We actually would prefer a MOM and POP type motel a block or so off the public beach.
Anyone have any suggestions??

We have stayed at the New York Hotel a couple of blocks from the beach and the Aegean Sands, directly across from the beach. Both are nice, clean reasonable hotels.

We used www.beachdirectory.com when looking for a similar property in the Redington beach area - Found the website quite useful (It offers website links to many smaller properties).

Check out the Spy Glass. Has 70's decor, but is reasonable and clean. good websites to try are: www.beachdirectory.com
