Clearwater Beach--smaller hotel off beach?
 

I've searched Fodor's for Clearwater BEach but all that is mentioned are the larger hotels on the beach. We actually would prefer a MOM and POP type motel a block or so off the public beach.<BR>Anyone have any suggestions??

We have stayed at the New York Hotel a couple of blocks from the beach and the Aegean Sands, directly across from the beach. Both are nice, clean reasonable hotels.<BR><BR>The url for the New York is:<BR>http://www.newyorkermotel.com/

We used www.beachdirectory.com when looking for a similar property in the Redington beach area - Found the website quite useful (It offers website links to many smaller properties).<BR><BR>Good Luck
