Be aware that the subway station for Citizens Bank Park, on the Broad Street Line (aka "Orange Line"), is closer to the park than any hotel. The round-trip cost for a subway ride is $3.60 if you buy two tokens at the vending machines at your origin station. Also, the time needed to ride that subway from Center City to that station is about the same as walking from a hotel "near" the park.
So, if you stay at Center City lodging that costs $4 less than lodging close to the park, you'll save time and money by simply riding the subway.
Or you could stay at a place near the Market Frankford Line (aka "Blue Line"), spend a few extra minutes to get to the place where you transfer (for free) to the Orange Line, and save even more money.
Or you could stay at a place near a light rail, trolley, or commuter train station.

ride that into Center City, and (most likely) save a LOT more money.
Your options are almost endless.
