Hotels in Monmouth County, NJ

My dad is in the hospital in Monmouth County, but I live in CT. So I'm traveling down to see him and am hoping to find nice, clean lodging that won't break the bank, like maybe a newly renovated or newly built comfort Inn, something like that.

Does anyone know of a place like that in the area? I've done internet searches and only turned up expensive shore hotels or cheesy, old & worn looking places. Please help if you have any ideas!!!

Thank you!

Where is the hospital? If it is near Red Bank you might try looking there. I recall some friends staying at the Osyter Point Hotel there.

It's in Long Branch, not far from Red Bank, so I'll look into your suggestion. Thank you!!

Right at the GSP entrance in Tinton Falls are: Courtyard, Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites and then on 35 in Eatontown is a Sheraton. In Red Bank, besides the Oyster Point is the Molly Pitcher.

I've never stayed at The Molly Pitcher, but I did eat there once years ago.

There is a Hilton, Ocean Place, right in Long Branch. Red Bank is about 15 minutes away, depending on traffic, which in NJ is usually a good bet.
Good Luck.

Ocean Place is no longer a Hilton.
