Has anyone tried "DISH" restaurant in RED BANK, NJ?
hi! Has anyone tried this restaurant or heard of it? Someone posted a message that it was good on Chowhound's board. I cannot find a website or anything else on it. Help! Thanks in advance

bebe,
Friends of ours who live in Upper Saddle River, used to rave about a place called Dish, in Passaic. Could this be the one you are thinking of?

There is a "dish" in St. Pete. Casual, contemporary atmosphere where you slop a bunch of raw stuff together (veggies, fruit, easonings, meat) and someone cooks it on a huge hibachi. My teens have requested it the past two years.

everything has been very good -- my favorite has been the pistachio-covered rack of lamb -- but family members have enjoyed the tilapia, chicken, and strip steak -- so go with what you like and it should be fine

Dish 13 White Street Red Bank, NJ. Food is wonderful. Place is small though, and no reservations on Fri. or Sat. I had the Talapia, OUTSTANDING. My husband had the Tuscan Seafood Stew and wanted more. We shared mussels of the day for appetizer, the best we have ever had and for dessert we had creme brulee and chocolate buschon with homemade ice cream...oh my! Everything from the foccocia and olives on the table when we sat to the dessert was just delicious.

I own Dish in Passaic, New Jersy, and for the record, we have had a very solid reputation in fine dining for over six years. I was very dissapointed to see another restaurant open with the same name, similar menu, and concept. There is no connection and I can only hope they hold similar standards so people do not make any negative associations. Fine Dining is rooted in creativity....oh well. - Paul / Dish

Paul, Mr Dish!
Our friends eat there all the time and we were sorry that we ended up moving out of the area and missed eating at Dish (in Passaic)
As far as your reputation in NYC/ Northern NJ goes, it seems to be pretty pretty good

Thank You Scarlett! Over the years we have played host to actors, athletes, political fundraisers, television commercials, reality shows, weddings, and corporate events, but our finest achievement is our "community" of loyal customers who have supported us over the years. We're sorry to have missed you, but you are welcome to visit us whenever you are in the area! -Paul.
