Cirque du Soleil Fans! How is KA?

We're thinking about seeing KA at the MGM. How is the show? We've seen quite a few Cirque du Soleil shows over the years. Some were awesome (Mystere, O). Others were a disappointment (Dralion). And some were just OK. How is KA? We want to know if it's worth seeing.

Thanks!

Although I had seen mixed reviews, we went as a family (parents and two twenty-something sons) and we loved it( well except for my husband who thinks nothing compares to O). It did have more of a martial arts theme which worked for us.

I've seen all the Cirque shows in Vegas and rank Ka as second from last. Last is Zumanity.

We saw KA over a year ago, and I still get chills thinking about it. We saw O the next night, and it paled in comparison to KA. We've also seen other Cirque shows in other locations besides Vegas; we thought KA was by far the best of all.

I thought I was in a minority for loving KA. I found the staging very impressive and unusual. And we sat pretty far forward, where I think I added to the suntan from the frequent flames!

We did end up seeing KA. I totally and literally fell asleep! At least we bought the tickets at a discount! If you sit too close you can feel the heat of the flames on stage. We sat in row K and I felt like that was still too close. Anyways...I don't recommend the show. It was too slow...unlike some of the other Cirque du Soleils.

This is how I rate the Cirque shows I've seen:

1. Mystere (3x)
2. LOVE (2x)
3. "O" (2x)
4. LaNouba (2x)
5. Ka! (1z)

As you can see, I've seen them all more than once, except Ka! The Ka! theater is beautiful, but the show just didn't do anything for me.

Just my two cents, of course.

I thought it was very, very disappointing. When we got drinks before the performance one of the bartenders said the time for a restroom break was when the baton twiller performed. Baton twirller???

We saw Mystere, O, and Alegria and didn't think KA was in the same league with any of them.

My son's band is performing pieces of KA for their marching band drill. So, I haven't seen the show, but I have come to really love the music!!!!

If you like Cirque shows, sounds like you do, I think you'll enjoy the show. As one poster noted, the theater is very cool. For what it's worth, I enjoyed Love the most.

We have seen Ka, O and Mystere, and Ka was our favorite of the three. We have seen it twice. One of the reasons we liked it is because it had a story line. It was a really impressive show. It didn't have the comedy that the other Cirque shows had, but that was fine with us.

BYW, you can get 25% off tickets for December and January here: http://www.vegasdealsdirect.com/2008...e-deal-25-off/

My DH saw KA last night and really liked it. He has not seen the other shows though, so he has no comparison. He rarely gets excited about these things, but he loved this show.

Are any of these shows best suited for a pre-teen boy?

Zachanned, you didn't say when you were going to Vegas, so this may be after the fact, but my family enjoyed Ka. Didn't think it equalled O, but worth seeing just for the staging alone.
