Christmas places to go?
Live in Northern NJ, near NYC, and looking for a very Christmasy place to spend the day with decorations, atmosphere, lights, etc. Don't want to go to NYC, been there, done that... Maybe Bethlehem PA? Appreciate your suggestions.. Thanks..

Not sure if you mean on Xmas day or another time. For other times, here are some festivities at some of the manors in the Hudson Valley

Historic Bethlehem is an excellent place to visit during the Christmas season. The decorations are beautiful but tasteful, not over the top glitz. And visiting places like the Putz is a good reminder that this is, after all, a religious holiday, not merely an excuse for shopping. Historic Bethlehem also has some very good restaurants now, like The Edge or Apollo's Grill. Great snacks at the Moravian Book and Cook shop (try the Moravian cake).
