Chicago - Where's the Ribs?

A co-worker is searching for the best ribs in town to sample on his upcoming visit? Can y'all help?

Twin Anchors gets my vote. It is one place we always go when visiting Chicago. I can't think of the address, maybe on Sedgewick.

I live by both these places in Chicago. Twin Anchors on Sedgwick and The Fireplace Inn on Wells Street.
Both places are tops for ribs in Chicago and are located in a beautiful area called Old Town near Lincoln Park.
I know there may be a ton of rib places on the South side of Chicago but don't know of any personally

Where are these restaurants located from Monroe Harbor? And do you know prices?

Molly,
They are both north of Monroe Harbor approx. 3 or 4 miles. For Fireplace Inn, you take Lake Shore Dr. (North) to North Ave (West)to Wells Street (go South)and it is on the West side of Wells Street (a block away from Second City)
Twin Anchors (awesome)is also nearby just off of North Avenue and Sedgwick Street. I'm sorry I don't have addresses but both are excellent for ribs.
Both are very reasonable (don't know exact pricing)and also casual in attire.
I would go to Twin Anchors for ribs as a first choice and then Fireplace Inn.
Both are a lot of fun (Fireplace is on a great street of various restaurants and bars).
Enjoy and hope this rambled reply helps

For great ribs go to Gale Street Inn, on Milwaukee Ave, kind of far from downtown tho' or for great ribs at a low price go to Portillo's, I know its a fast food restaurant, but the ribs are the best.
