Chicago to Atlanta

We're driving with our three young children (ages 4, 2 and 10 months) from Chicago to Atlanta and are looking for a good hotel with a pool along the way. We think we'll make it somewhere between Louisville and Nashville in our first day so anywhere around there would be great but we're open to suggestions! Thanks!

Just about every motel/hotel along the interstate has a pool, so unless you're looking for certain budget motels as some may not have a pool or luxury chain which could be located further in from the exits you should have no problem finding one.

All the better known motel/hotel chains located by the exits should have one.

We recently stayed in Bowling Green overnight and the desk clerk said the city was a popular stop for those wanting a stop outside the traffic of Louisville and Nashville with sometimes lower prices. We were at the Super 8, which was fine, that I checked through Tripadvisor and got a great rate by using the discount coupon from the booklet handed out at the state welcome center.

I second staying in Bowling Green,KY...we've driven this route many times and that's about a 7 hour drive from Chicago a little past half way to Atlanta ( which for us took about 12 hours total). It's a good stopping point with a university there and so hotels to choose from.

Thanks so much, Bowling Green it is. There are some good options in terms of hotels and we read that there's a splash park, has anyone been there?
