Chicago Restaurants Medium Priced Near Conrad Hilton Downtown
I have and would like more options as we will be in Chicago one week:
Cafe Oberico
The Pasta Bowl
Billy Goat Tavern (breakfast)
Nick's Fishmarket
Somewhere in Greek Town
Any other suggestions in this catagory?
We will have a few upscale meals but can't afford them everyday, especially since we will have at least 2 meals a day x7 The more expensive will be:
Park Grill
Riva (for the view)
Signature for Sunday bruch
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

I have sent you a link to "Chicago Magazine's" Dinning Guide. There are countless, wonderful restaurants in Chicago.
Some of my personal favorites are:
Fogo de Chao - Brazilian. Specilizes in roasted meats.
Wildfire - steak house a Rick Melman restaurant
Maggiano's Little Italy - another Melman restaurant
Then there are the popular restaurants like Ed Debevic's - a 50's diner kind of place.
Search Chicago restaurants on this forum and other recommendations will come up.

Since there are thousands of restaurants in Chicago, you should be narrowing your selection by location, price and cuisine. Read the reviews on metromix.com or chicagoreader.com or Pat Bruno on suntimes.com Metromix has a price range choice and a mapping feature that will let you see what's near what.
Cafe Iberico, Pasta Bowl (do you mean Big Bowl?) Billy Goat, Nick's Fishmarket and Greek town are completely different from each other. I have to smile when you ask for others in the "same category." Nick's will be one of the most expensive meals you'll ever eat. Greek town can be upscale or budget; most are in the middle - would recommend Costa's or Pegasus. Billy Goat is not recommended, even if you remember John Belushi. Especially if you remember John Belushi.
You'll save some money by getting away from the North Michigan Avenue area to eat, but I don't know if that would fit your schedule.

It's Frontera Grill, which is a good recommendation....
Don't waste one of your upscale dinners on Riva. It's overpriced and mediocre. Some suggestions: Blackbird, Avec, Arun's, Spiaggia, Custom House... there are tons more.
Do check out metromix--

What I meant by that is I thought they were all in the same price catagory. I've crossed off Nicks. The Pasta Bowl is on N Clark St. I got it from Metromix. We have gone to the Parthenon (sp?) before, I will check into the Pegasus and Costa's. Thanks.

Thanks for the Frontera Grill recommendation, I have it down.

OK, I know the Pasta Bowl. It's a small storefront with minimalist....
everything. But it's very inexpensive, only $10 a person.
Big Bowl is more expensive, but has a wider menu, better service and is much closer to your hotel. Others in your hotel area and $20-25 per person range are Boston Blackie's, Leona's, Trattoria Roma and Topo Gigio (in Old Town) Puck's Cafe at the MCA. A little more (or the same, depending on your order) Vong's Thai Kitchen, Bistro 110.
In the neighborhood, and $10-15: Cosi, Dao, Foodlife (in Water Tower Place), Pompei, Potbelly. And Lou Malnati's for pizza!
BTW, I think in your first post you meant Nick's Fishmarket Grill, an upstairs outpost of the original fine-dining place. It is more reasonably priced than Nick's, although the portions are not generous.

Remember to try Chicago deep dish pizza. If you go to Gino's East have the charred pepperoni. I don't care for pepperoni but that pizza is great.
Pizzaria Uno & Pizzaria Due are also famouse for their pizza.
