Chicago-hotel near Merchandise Mart

Chicago-hotel near Merchandise Mart
3 of us are going to Neocon in 2 weeks. We would like to stay at a hotel near the Merchandise Mart. In the past we have stayed at the Westin and it was quite a long way from the Mart. Is the Swisshotel close enough or is there a better one within walking distance?

Go to www.betterbidding.com and click on their priceline maps, then Chicago. This doesn't have every hotel in Chicago (only the ones priceline is known to use), but will give you an idea of how far they are from the Mart.
There's a Holiday Inn Merchandise Mart that is right there.

Oh - Forgot to add that many hotels are showing sold out during that time (NeoCon is a huge convention for Chicago), so if you can find anything in the Michigan Ave./River North/Loop zone you might just want to take it and deal with walking longer distances or taking cabs/bus.
