If you want some really great small plates, check out Avec. It's in the West Loop, but well worth it for the bacon wrapped choriso stuffed dates! yummm!!! For cheap Italian, go to Pompei on Sheffield and Wellington. My fiance and I used to eat there about 4 times a week when we lived in Chicago. Their chopped chicken salad and freshly prepared spinach ravioli are my favorite. For great hot dogs, you must eat at Weiner's Circle! The best char-dogs in town.
