St. Louis -- advice on restaurants wanted

Hi all -- Hubby and I are going to St. Louis soon for a long weekend, and we'd like a little advice on restaurants. We particularly enjoy burgers and steaks, but I'd welcome any suggestions. Thanks.

You should try posting this message on the Midwest message board at www.chowhound.com. You'll get more responses related to food

O'Connells Pub on Shaw has the best burgers in the city plus roast beef sandwiches, fries, beer. It's nothing fancy. It's, well. a pub. I think they've filmed Budweiser commercials at the bar there.

Anyone else? Just like to know your favorites in St. Louis. We'll be staying downtown, although we will have a car.

OK Dierdorf & Harts for steak at the Gateway One Center in the heart of downtown.

Big chunks-o-beef served in the classic manner downtown. Personally I like the "visual presentation" of raw platters of meat for your perusal. Many people wouldn't.

One of our favs is Cunettos on The Hill. Lots of great Italian restaurants there and everyone has their own favorite.

Blueberry Hill had good burgers, at least when I used to live in St. Louis a while back. Plus it's got a fun ambience. Check it out: http://www.blueberryhill.com.
You must try some toasted ravioli, a local invention, while in St. Louis, and it's probably best in one of the Italian places on the Hill that Carol47 mentioned.

You might want to try:

http://www.riverfronttimes.com/

Go to the dining section and look over some of the menus of St. Louis area restaurants.

Ted Drewes is a must see for a concrete after your burgers.
K located downtown is an excellent restaurant. Lots of "little plates" so you can try different things on the menu.
