Chelsea Vt & Dallas Tx

We live in Spain and are planning to visit family in November - some in Chelsea and some in Dallas. We know it is cheaper to fly to the UK before crossing to the States, but any suggestions for cheap flights between Dallas and Chelsea?

There is no airport in Chelsea, Vt which is located only about 60 miles from the airport in Burlington (BTV). There are no direct flights between these two airport. BTV is a very small airport. Cheap flights? I don't think you can count on them. Check Jet Blue which serves Burlington. If you want to drive you have possibility of flying to/from Albany, NY (ALB) or Montreal Canada YUL. Both are about 2 hours from Chelsea. Too bad you can't come to Vermont before mid-October, you are missing the most beautiful time to visit. November is often cold and wet in Vermont. All leaves are gone in November.
Can't your family have a family reunion in one place, Dallas for instance, to accommodate you?

You would probably get a cheaper air fare from MHT (Manchester NH). I would look into UK to Boston's Logan airport and taking a bus to White River Junction. MHT is a great airport and is usually competitive with Boston fares. I usually compare prices on Travelocity plus check Southwest's website.

Southwest also flies out of Greene airport in Providence Rhode Island, which is a train ride away from Boston. On Southwest, you can arrange for a flight to Dallas, although it will not be nonstop, and you may have to book two separate tickets.

The airport that Southwest uses in Dallas, Love Field, is restricted by Federal law from serving destinations beyond the states that physically border Texas. This is designed to protect Dallas' major airport, DFW.

You can buy MHT-MDW-DFW all on one-ticket on southwest.com, with MDW-DFW operated by their partner ATA. It's easier and cheaper than buy two seperate Southwest tickets to get to DAL.

One-way fares start from about $145, tax included.

MHT is only about 120 miles from Chelsea, VT.

Flying from BTV will be at least $270 or so, on USAirways or others.

MHT - Manchester, New Hampshire
MDW - Chicago Midway
DFW - Dallas/Ft. Worth International
DAL - Dallas Love Field
BTV - Burlington, Vermont
