Accoring to the Places Rated Almanac, the Clarksville-Hopkinsville metro area in Tennessee and Kentucky is the most affordable metro area in America, while New York is least affordable. I compiled some comparitive info from the almanac about cities near where I live, and while it probably won't help you, I just have to share...

1. Clarksville-Hopkinsville, TN-KY
149. Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, SC
163. Asheville, NC (home sweet home!!)
215. Atlanta, GA
239. Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point, NC
258. Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill, NC-SC
307. Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC
354. New York, NY

Columbus, Ohio. Great town, lots of nightlife and extremely affordable. Rated high in one of the magazines.

Dan

Try Sing-Sing. You'll save a fortune for your grandkids to spend.
