Cheap Car Retal in San Diego

I'm going to San Diego for business but am having to rent a car on my own. Has anyone had any experience with Fox, Ace, or New Frontier car rental? Or can anyone recommend a cheap way to rent a car (at the airport)? Thanks!

I usually can get a compact car from Dollar for $18.99/day at SFO. Check their website www.dollar.com. Another good site for finding car rental deals is http://www.rental-car-companies.com

You can get a good deal on Priceline.

I think the best way is to go through a company called hotwire.com
They're so cheap and no bidding required like priceline.com
I rented through them last month and had a nice Hertz car. Good Luck,

I've used Priceline and Hotwire many times for hotels and a few times for airfares, but I have always been able to find a better car rental deal on my own than through those services. Check the rental car sites for internet specials and other web-only prices. Also use the site recommended by Bob above. I have found very good prices there.

I've had good luck in Southern Cal. with Enterprise.
