Chatham Orleans Lodging

I am going to a wedding at the Wequassett in October. I can't afford to stay there but have found several other places. Which is the best in Chatham? Wayside Inn, Queen Anne Inn, Moorings, or the Bradford. Also, Orleans is quite a bit cheaper and I may find something nicer for the money. Which place would you suggest?

The Wequassett on Pleasant Bay is not near Chatham center so you need not stay at the more expensive Chatham accommodations you mentioned. If it were me, I would stay at the Skaket Beach Motel in Orleans, just a 10 - 15 minute drive to the Wequassett Inn.

At all costs, AVOID the Orleans Seashore Park Inn at the Eastham rotary. Not a well-maintained property, as evidenced by our recent experience with shaky deck railings, no hair dryers, and the dust in our bathroom fan catching fire.

We have been happy at The Cove in Orleans during the off-season. Although they have no pool, they are centrally located, clean and nicely kept. You might also enjoy a friendly B&B such as the Cyrus Kent House in Chatham, or the excellent Bramble Inn in Brewster.

Hello,
My daughter stayed at the Chatham Wayside Inn several years ago and loved it. It is in downtown Chatham, beautiful inn, and excellent location. We had lunch there this past weekend and really enjoyed it. Also, I would recommend the Skaket Beach Motel in Orleans, which someone else recommended. We have stayed there several times and were always happy there. It is clean, in a convenient location and they serve excellent home made muffins in the morning (complimentary). Less expensive than the Wayside Inn.
