Need Cape lodging help fast

Thanks to hurricane Emily, I've had to cancel my trip to Jamaica tomorrow. Now that I have a week off from work and child care pre-arranged, we're considering taking off for the Cape a couple of days next week.
Can anyone suggest a few nice hotels within 5" of the beach from mid to lower Cape that may possibly have a few vacancies during mid-week? I'll be doing some web searching but there's nothing like a first hand recommendation. Not looking for anything too fancy, just neat, clean and good proximity to the ocean. Thanks

My "secret" favorite place is called Seaside in So Yarmouth--right on the ocean--cute little cottages with kitchens (cottages are little) but it is a special place that lots of people go to regularly each yeat. They might just have a cancellation or two--worth the try. I think it is: Seaside capecod.com! It is alwasy our September two week getaway place! Good luck and let us know where you end up and how it goes!
