Charleston restaurants-anniversary

My husband and I will be in Charleston celebrating our anniversary later this summer for 4 days. Any restaurant suggestions? We are staying right off King Street and love seafood and Italian. We are not picky on food and prefer a romantic environment. Price is not an issue. Also, if you have any causal suggestions for lunch/dinner the other days, that would be great too. Thanks!

McCradys would be my first choice for an anniversary, "price-no-object" dinner. This is Sean Brock's flagship restaurant and is always a wonderful dining experience. http://mccradysrestaurant.com/

For a more casual experience go to Brock's Husk restaurant. Also highly recommend Fig. For italian try Trattoria Lucca. For a fun, inexpensive lunch join the locals at Gaulart & Maliclet.

All of these are within walking distance.

Those are great suggestions.

Are you staying on Upper King? If so, look at MacIntosh or the Ordinary. Both are excellent. Pane e Vino is close-by as well. You'll want to make reservations for the upscale ones. You can just show up at Gaulart & Maliclet, which the locals call Fast and French.
