We were there a few months ago - and I would never recommend where we stayed, however...having learned a lesson the hard way- go to bedandbreakfast.com - and check the message board under "community" - I've never been misled with a recommendation.

The Elliot House Inn-- right near the Market area-
has HOT tub outside under a grape arbor
afternoon champagne and cheese and crackers
cont.bkfst on silver service delivered to your room
Rooms are small but beautiful- 4 poster beds with Waverly Favbrics and Floral walls-- Super super nice-
Free bikes to explore the area-
Within walking distance of EVERYTHING

We are just back from Charleston--which we LOVED. Stayed at the Meeting Street Inn and would recommend it. Great location, nice outside patio where breakfast and afternoon wine were served, very nice staff ( but then everyone we encountered in Charleston was nice. We stayed in what they called a "standard queen" and it was fine--fairly large, good bathroom and great bed. You'll love Charleston--too bad it's only for one night.
