Freak I'll take my prozac when you learn to speak to people without insulting them!

I think celebrities do that to show off--"because of who I am, I can dress any way I please and be welcomed here, but you can't."

I thought Robert Blake was appropriately dressed last night for his trip to jail.

I'm trying to figure out the unshaven male look right now. These guys obviously shave, but the look for the TV appearance or talk show seems to be about a two day growth. Do they have to carefully plan their appearances so they'll be sure to shave two days ahead? What would happen if they had several appearances each two days apart. God forbid, they'd look clean shaven for one of those -- would they continue it to the six or eight day growth look, or would they just cancel one of the appearances in the middle so they could take a day off to shave and then keep up that two day image??

Well, eat your hearts out, girls. A few years ago, I passed Richard Gere on a pathway at the Point, which is a park on the lake at at 55th St. in Chicago. He was wearing a white towel wrapped around his waist that went all the way to his ankles, and a white tee shirt. His face looked burnt and his hair was salt and pepper, thick and pushed back. For me, at first, it was cognitive dissonance, "Who is the guy?" I thought, "And what is he doing in Hyde Park? He doesn't belong here." (Because he didn't look like he was affiliated with the university for some reason - which is the reason most whites live in Hyde Park.) He and I locked eyes, I wearing my bored Chicago look, but still looking, pondering. He turned his head downward and to the side, and broke into a huge grin, and I knew. I'll tell you, there's a reason he was named Sexiest Man of the Year by People Magazine. Ooh la la! The sensation was unbelievable....And his casual beach attire did not detract from his appeal.
Alas, speaking of unbelievable, my family did not believe me. Made me so mad! But it is true. And what Richard Gere was doing in Hyde Park, I have no idea.
