Not sure about the off season but the LOBSTER HOUSE is my favorite. Right by the bridge that leads into Cape May.
Fresh catch and you eat right next to the fishing boats.

Cape May has so many great choices.

I agree with the Lobster House and would also add The Mad Batter, Stumpo's Italian Grill and Harbor View Restaurant.

You can see them all - including links to their Web sites - on

In addition to the CM Lobster House restaurant, they also have a counter with restaurant-quality food at half the price and very good take- out platters that can be eaten on their dock (weather permitting). The Merion Inn also has casual dining with several special, price, offerings between 5 & 5:30. They are open Fri., Sat. and Sunday until the end of the year.

The Lobster House Restaurant is open all year. In winter it is just inside. It deserves a visit.
Consider their grilled seafood on a plank.

The Harbor View will also be open. We think that the food is good and the view really is very nice.

If you like oriental/fusion menu, the Cape Orient is also open all year, is reasonably priced and BYOB. It can provide seating for larger parties and it takes reservations. It is in a strip mall adjacent to the Acme Market.

For fine dining, just north of the Parkway Exit 13, on Rt 9, check out Karen and Ray's. Very nice. Open weekends. BYOB. Check their calendar. By reservation.

Lobster house is great for traditional seafood. But our favorite is Martini Beach. It's located on the second floor of a building right across from the beach. The ocean views and ambience are wonderful. And the food is, too. We always order tapas -- the lobster mac'n'cheese and tuna are to die for. Absolutely love it there!

Try Fishbone (across the street from Lobster House). It is our new fave. We eat there almost every weekend when we are down at our beach house.

We loved the lobster house. Their bisque was so good I wanted to lick the bowl.
