help with restaurants in cape may
i've read all the other messages re: restaurants in cape may and have made reservations at the mad batter and washington inn. however, is there any place to go that is more relaxed and casual for sunday night dining. and if so, do i need to also make a reservation?? we are also willing to drive to another town. this is our first visit to cape may and we want to make sure we make all necessary reservations, etc.

Hi, we live about 15 minutes from Cape May and I would recommend taking a walk on the mall they have a few rest. The Ugly Mug, Pilot House and Jackson Mountain Cafe all 3 serve sandwiches and lite dinner food, 2 of the rest. you can sit outside. Also you could try the Lobster House you can eat outside on the deck or eat inside. In North Cape May (about a 10 min drive) another rest. is Whalers Cove they have dinner and sandwiches. I hope this helps, if you need more info on please let me know.

Pilot House is casual & the seafood is very good. Was in town during Fourth of July & although had to wait a bit, did not require reservations. Also serves later than most other restaurants. Harry's on the Beach (think that's the name) is also good and great views of water. Harry's is BYOB.
