carry-on luggage

I don't understand why the airlines won,t enforce the size limitation on carry on luggage.I have traveled by air for years, and noticed that the carry ons are getting bigger and bigger, and many people feel it is their god given right to carry as much stuff as possible onto the plane. Are we really in that big a hurry that we can't be bothered with the luggage carasoul?I don't have a problem with valuables, electronics or a few small personal items, but not your entire wardrobe for a month. It really irks me ,when I get onto the plane, half the seats are full, but most of the overhead compartments are already taken!!!My wife and daughters had some really expensive purchases, and were forced to baggage check them at the boarding ramp, just because of someone elses lack of consideration.

That may be a problem of the past with the new rules - and probably even more changes in the near future. At least we can hope! Carry-ons will undoubtedly get smaller and smaller.

LOL, suze. My thoughts exactly - but you put them into words so much better than I did.

And from now on, no more leaking bags on the floor! So you don't have to wonder if you had a sleeping accident, or this puddle comes from 3 rows back

Yes,I don't live under a rock, and I have seen the news.I can't believe for a minute that you think this is a permanent thing ,and that eventually the same inconsiderate persons will be back at their overhead overstuffing ways!Do we really need to take shoe bags, coffee pots,etc.etc..
