Being from Florida, I'm a bit worried about booking a hotel in Carmel that doesn't have air conditioning. How comfortable is the weather for sleeping mid July?

LOL funny but true.

Most hotels and houses in Carmel don't even have air conditioners because there are only 2-3 days a year that it is hot enough to use one and those days are usually not in July. Because of the frequent ocean fog in July, some days can be downright chilly and some days can be warm in the 70's. It's unpredictable, so bring all clothing options from tee shirts to warm jackets. Whatever the weather on a given day, though, Carmel is always beautiful, charming, and lots of fun.

Chilly days or days in the 70's will be a wonderful reprieve from our hot and humid home in Fl.

No need for AC to sleep at night in Carmel in July. You are more likely to need warm pajamas. Also, Carmel has no humidity, ever! Have fun.
