Car Rental with U-Save?

Just checked car rental prices on the web for our June Alaska trip (rental from Anchorage airport), and U-Save is significantly cheaper than anyone else (over $100). I realize they're off the airport, so that may add a certain nuisance factor. But other than that, has anyone had any experiences with them--bad or good--that should affect our decision to rent with them?

I rented from them a few years ago, no complaints. Check their hours, they used to be limited.

I had just posted a similar question today too, still interested in others that have had experience with them.
Budget Queen, did you use them in Alaska. Just wondered if they allow their vehicles to go on the ferry.
Thanks

Yes, I used them in Alaska, you need to inquire directly from them about the ferry passage. That restriction however seems to have been dropped by most rentals?

I went ahead and reserved a car with them as their price ended up being $140 less than the next cheapest rental company for our 9-day trip. According to the reservations person, the ANC airport office is new--actually it isn't even open yet. It's due to open in "a week or so" according to her. She gave me the local number (907-222-2646) in case I had more specific questions, so you might want to try that number in a few weeks with your ferry question. I'm not sure central reservations will have a definitive answer. Good luck.

Is this with unlimited miles?

If not, what's the per mile charge?

On their web site, the price quotes say they are for unlimited miles.
Not sure if there are exceptions.

PortiaLucy, I plan to call the number you posted and see if I can get additional information, and if I find out anything, I will post it on here.
Thanks for the phone number.
