Car rental off-site Maui

I've heard about long lines to get rental cars at the airport in Maui. I understand that there is at least one car rental company that will come & pick you up and take you to their rental place so you don't have to wait in line at the airport. Has anyone heard of this, and what are the names of any car rental companies that do this?

Thank you!

I don't know, but I can tell you that we were once in a very long line and noone was at the self-check machines. My DH went over, checked himself in, and we were off an running. I think it was Alamo, it was definitely at the airport.

Yes there is a reputable car rental place in Kehei that will come and get you. DO NOT use Kimo's Car Rental. They rent out junkers and leave them in the parking lot of the airport. They have a lock box on the trunk lid that you hope that you can get open. (Mine wouldn't). I paid more for a Hyundai Elantra from Thrifty than my DD did for her Caddy that she got through Costco. Thrifty was the only shop open when we decided not to rent the Kimo's car.

Join the car rental loyalty clubs (no charge) such as Alamo Insiders, National's Emerald Club, etc. since they usually have a special line for members of those clubs or possibly even a kiosk.

There are quite a few rental car places in Kihei that will pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Try Kihei Rental A Car and Ohana Rental Car.
