What you described is just what we were concerned about. No matter how beautiful the place, or how helpful the host, sometimes you need space.
Will post on the Inn on the Sound when we get back.

Just got back, having had a great time. For the doubters about the weather, we had no chance to build the snowman. It was brilliant sunshine most of the time, and the temperature hit 64, although there was still a chilly wind. Bald hubby got a sunburnt head!
We really enjoyed your recommendations about where to go - drove route 6A, went to Provincetown (if you are visiting, go early in the morning before all the other tourists arrive), walked on several beaches, and enjoyed all the views.
Would highly recommend the Inn on the Sound. It has a great location overlooking the sea, lovely rooms, and excellent hosts.
