Cape Cod - Dennis Port help needed

Planning a last minute mother/daughter trip w/ 22 year old as a post college graduation gift.

Looking into Cape Cod - specifically Dennis Port. We have never been and know nothing about it. Would be driving from Philly.

Found a place on the beach - Seawind Beach Resort. Apparently the resort is across the street from a private beach and down the street from a public beach. Are the beaches crowded?

We are planning to beach, shop, explore etc. during the day. What is there to do at night? Any night life? Nothing too crazy but a few fun restaurant/bars would be good.

Any/all advice and info appreciated. Thanks!!

Have been to Dennisport but not to the Seawind. How can it be "across the street" from a beach yet "on the beach"?

It's not far from Hyannis so there's plenty to do.

Hi. Thanks for your replies!

Clarkgriswold - Private beach is across the street. I mistyped.

Alison - We are trying to do this on a budget. What did you have in mind?

Have you been to Dennisport? Can you tell me anything about it?

Thanks!

Sorry it has taken so long to reply..We went to the Cape for a few days!! We drove by The Seawind Resort. If I am correct it is a condo and available for rental. The location was great, the beaches no more crowded than any on the Cape. Since you won't be driving to the beach, parking wouldn't be an issue. Always nice to be able to walk to the beach! From what I can see of the price listing on VRBO, it is very reasonable. Also has cooking facilities which is a nice option..even if it is just to nuke leftovers from last nights dinner out!! I would take it if it is still available. Can't go wrong! Dennisport is a nice location, mid Cape.
