Cannon Beach in June?

Many years ago I stayed at the Stephanie Inn in Cannon Beach and absolutely loved it.
I will be near that area in mid June and I was thinking of going back but I am concerned it will still be gray and rainy at that time. Since I love the beach I was wondering if I should just wait and go another time when it will be later into the summer or take a chance in June.
Does anyone know what the typical June weather is like? I would hate to pay over $500 a night if odds are the weather will be lousy, although I know there are no guarantees.
Thanks,
Annie

June weather is dicy in OR and WA.

On average, July, August, and September have the best weather in Cannon Beach.

HTtY

PS My eyes crossed when I learned it now costs $500 to stay at Stephanie Inn. We paid less than $150 when we stayed there in 1993 or 1994. I gather the place has been remodeled recently: http://web.oregon.com/stephanie_inn_cannon_beach.htm

The Viking, formerly on the Stephanie Inn site, was a real dump. I checked the place out in 1990 when it was managed by an extremely unpleasant man.

As mentioned, the weather on our Oregon coast can be iffy in June. Some days can be sunny and beautiful and others rainy/windy/cold.

Yes, the SI is very expensive now. There are so many other nice places though that you would be limiting yourself if you don't check them out. Take a look at the Surfsand Resort, which is a sister property of the SI, so has the same standards for service and such. It is just a more laid back place and family friendly (but not overrun with kids).

Places we have stayed and would stay at again include Surfsand, Cannon Beach Hotel, Schooners Cove and Blue Gull Inn.

When I stay at the northern Oregon coast it is in Seaside at a much cheaper place.
It is easy enough to go see the sights of Cannon Beach from several cheaper towns IMO.
Have you ever seen the Astoria Column?
