Can we make it to Show???

Are plane lands at 6:33 at La Guardia on a Friday evening. Is there any way we can make the Lion King Play at 8pm. I can get much better tickets for Friday than Saturday.

Thanks

no checked luggage and go straight to theatre by taxi and you should make just make if if your plane is on time. what's the odds? something like 60% of all arrivals at laguardia are late.

I'd be willing to bet you the tickets you can't.

Mail the tickets to me. I'll be at the theater. Show up by 7:55, no luggage in tow, and I'll pay you for them, and you get to enjoy the show. 7:56 and they're mine.

If it's better tickets you want, have you checked through a ticket broker like stubhub.com?

Yes, IF....
1. Your plane is close to being on time.
2. You have no checked luggage on the plane.
3. You can check whatever luggage you have at the theater.
4. It's not a holiday weekend.
5. There's not an accident tieing up traffic on the way to the city.

No - this is not a realistic expectation - for the reasons Howard gave - only he forgot construction on the FDR and the possibility of an accident. (Actually there will be an accident - the question is how bad it is and how many lanes are blocked.)

The last several times I've flown into LGA, we were put into a holding pattern.

Summer thunderstorms and winter snowstorms cause pileups at busy airports.

I think you could safely make it to the Lion King by intermission.

Thanks everyone - We'll go with a Saturday night show instead. We'll just hang around on Friday. I would not want to miss any of the show!!
