Cambridge/Somerville Restaurant Help

Need to eventually get to Davis Square and looking for a dinner place ahead of time. Doesn't have to be in Davis Square - just someplace that would be a short commute on the T, walking or quick cab/uber.

Thinking possibly of TW Food, Bergamot or Alden & Harlow (ate here once and did not love but always willing to give a place another try). Would welcome your thoughts on these places or any others in the general vicinity. Thanks!!

We had a good meal at A&H recently. I think you're either into their style of food or you're not. Although I think it works better if you're with a group and can order a variety of plates.

I personally found the food to be really heavy at A&H but know that it really has its fans so thought we might have had an off night.

Maybe we're thinking of different places, since A&H specializes in small tapas-like plates.

IN Davis Square, there is Orleans, Out of the Blue, Foundry on Elm, and the ever popular Redbones barbecue, among others. Sarma is closer to Union Square. Casa B in Union Square. La Brasa is one of the newest, nearest Sullivan Square.

The I guess we disagree on what "heavy" food means.

I think I'm going to try it again on Thursday and will report back. Maybe I ordered poorly last time? People seem pretty excited about the vegetables.

Samba - thanks for the suggestions.

Ended up at Spoke in Davis Sq. It was fantastic! Better than A&H (but I've only been to A&H once). Full report to follow!
