Prix Fixe Pronunciation?

Good afternoon to my fellow travelers. Can someone please clarify the pronunciation of "prix fixe"? I do not want to look like an idiot at a NY restaurant!

prix= "pre"
fixe = somewhere between "fix" and "feex" , together, with the emphasis on the second part =

"pre - FEEX"

You're right, though, people (including waiters!) will often come up with
"Prix fix"
