BWI Airport Pick Up Service
My daughter, SIL and 2 grandsons are going to DC next week for our spring break. They will be staying in Arlington, VA. They are flying into BWI and looking for transportation to their hotel, (Le Meredien Arlington). Says its about 37 mi airport to hotel. I have been looking at shuttle, limo, etc. and for a bit more than a shared shuttle van, I can book a private transport. I wondered if anyone was familiar w/ this company or used their services? BestDCCarService.com
I found one positive and one negative comment about the company so that does not tell me much. I called the company and asked how their pickup service worked. Said that you call the driver when you have your luggage and ready to depart the airport and the driver will meet you outside the door. Also assured me that they are reliable and their business is dependent upon their reliability and services. The price is less than what the airport shuttle private car service is. Any input appreciated.

If your shuttle goes directly to your hotel which is a couple of blocks from the Rosslyn Metro stop I would consider doing it. The MARC train is easy but you'll have to wait for one. Changing at Union Station to the Metro and then you'll have to change again for either the Blue or Orange Line at Metro Center. There are escalators at the two Metro styops you would have to use.
You do not say how much your shuttle will cost but sometimes the extra money is worth it convenience-wise IMO.

I've used MARC and Amtrak to get into DC -- MARC will cost @$7 / Amtrak $15+, per person. MARC is more weekday commuter train and has a more limited schedule.

Perhaps you can use this info for back up if the shuttle co. doesn't come through? If you haven't already, also ask your question on Trip Advisor.

I should also mention you can take the bus/Metro combination into DC. MARC wasn't running the day we left for home, so we took the Metro from Union Station to (I think) Greenbelt, where you can get a bus to BWI. It was easy and didn't take too long.
