Thanks for the clarification, Patrick. And thanks for posting this thead as hopefully many of us gullible "types" will pay heed and learn something.
I have purchased two sets of tickets so far and I hope I haven't done anything foolish (unaware of course!) so far:
Spamalot - Left Orch Row L Seats 1 & 3
Avenue Q - Rt Front Mezz Row A, Seats 102 - 104
We're still waiting for the discounted tickets for a Matinee for:
Drowsy Chaperone, Chorus Line, Curtains, ???

Ah, great seats for Spamalot and Avenue Q. Good work. I'm curious where you got them and for how much, if you don't mind saying?
Just last week some discount options were extended, but quite a few still end on May 13, the day we arrive. Late May and early June (the Tonys are the first Sunday in June) tends to find the Broadway theatres a little busier, so I'm not real sure about a lot of discount extensions.

Gee, Patrick, you have made my day!!!
I found one through Playbill and the other through BroadwayBox, but actually purchased them using Broadwayoffers.com. I talked to the lady for Spamalot ($175.50 for 2 including all fees) but booked the other online as I really wanted the Mezz tickets just like they were ($152.00 for 2 all-in)
Not cheap, but I liked knowing where the seats were and not having to get them after we arrived. We only have a week, unlike SOME people I know.....
I noticed several discounts ended on 24th May but a few are extended. We really want one for Monday night (memorial day - looking for something to do) or Sat & Sun Matinees, if you hear of anything)

I'm thinking of going to Cast Party at Birdland on Monday night (Memorial Day).
Forbidden Broadway is a fun Monday night too, I imagine discounts will soon be extended for that. Have you ever seen it? It's really a hoot.
So those ticket purchases were through Telecharge or Ticketmaster -- and with discounts. Very good. You get a gold star.

I get a "Cast Party & Upcoming...." email from Jim Caruso every week - you probably do too?
But I hadn't noticed any reference to Memorial Day and was wondering if they would be open as I guess it's a slow night.
If they're open, "Cast Party" would be a fun night and we'll probably go. If you two go - maybe meet for dinner before at one of your "finds"? Are you tired of Roberto Passon's or is that in the vicinity of Birdland?

Hmmm. How come I don't get those emails? I need to check into that.
I never get tired of Roberto Passon's. It's about 6 blocks from Birdland.
I usually don't make dinner plans with others as Lee is now a really slow eater -- we're talking a couple of hours, and it can be pretty "painful" for others.
But love to hook up at Birdland. I hadn't thought about it being a slow night there, maybe so. I'll check it out. We love to eat there as it gives us entertainment during that loooonnnnngggg eating process.

You can sign up for it here. But I did check, and they are open the 27th! Not sure if he will be in town (touring with Liza M - how cool is that)
And I do understand about Lee. My dad AND my sister both with Altz - and I worry everytime I can't think of a word. Italy will be good - so slow paced and I love it that once you have a table - you are good for the night. No rushing at all. We'll miss Italy this year, but NYC is a good trade-off.
I didn't realize they had a food menu there - will go back and read some more.
Definitely hook up at Birdland!

As I recall, last time we had hamburgers at Cast Party -- and they were surprisingly good.
I'm confused about the 27th and Liza? The 28th is Monday night.
Their website is horribly outdated. I did sign up for the newsletter though.

I received an email today from EBay customer service in response to a detailed complaint. They say they are taking my complaint very seriously regarding the seller advertising something he cannot provide. We will see what happens.
Meanwhile their ticket policy clearly states that tickets must be direct from an authorized source, bla-bla-bla. There is no way that the bulk of the thousand of tickets for sale on EBay meet the policy they state.

An interesting development -- although this seller had the identical seats offered for several other performances of Legally Blond, those ads disappeared -- before bidding was to end. Perhaps EBay did remove his "bait and switch" ads.

Well, unfortunately not. I just checked and he still has some tickets for Jersey Boys, but they are in places like row N and O of mezzanine -- so at least I assume they are actual tickets.
And at least he is not now offering "fake" tickets that would be face value of $250 each at a buy now price below that, then substituting $110 tickets for them.
