Ruby's Foos is fun. The food is decent and it is more than just Chinese food, I'd say it is American-Asian food (Thai, Chinese and Japanese on combination you only find in the US).

I've been to the Time Square location several times over the years and the one that recently closed on the Upper west side. The dim sum menu: dumplings, ribs and pot stickers are tasty and I've always enjoyed the dessert bento box.

The decor is over the top and the music is random. Cocktails are good too. The prices aren't that off the mark for the area.

If you choose Ruby Foos, make a reservation because they usually have a long wait.
