bugs? Mosquitos?

We will be going to Sedona, Grand Canyon, Page and Phoenix next week. Are there mosquitos & bugs we need to worry about? Nothing ruins our trip more then mosquitos!
Thanks!
Elaine

I just came back from those places 2 weeks ago.

Prior ro going I had asked the same questions.

No problem. It's pretty dry.

On a Memorial Day weekend I took a Pink Jeep ride in Sedona. We got out of the jeep and stood at the edge of the canyon. The other passengers were bothered by small flying bugs so driver took us to a different place along Schnebly's (sp) road where we got out a climbed up a steep rock. No bugs there. It maybe depends on where you are and how easily you are bothered by insects. They don't find me very tasty. Also, the bugs were in an area of tall grass so I know that made a difference, too, so it also depends on where you are.

Here in Sedona we have not had rain for many weeks, so mosquitoes are not a problem. Gnats (no-see-ums) can be a problem around juniper trees and in tall grass, but even they have died in the drought.
