Bryce Canyon lodging

Where to stay for a night or two sometime during last two weeks of April in or near Bryce--Ruby's , new Best Western , or somewhere else? Any ideas appreciated.

Have you tried the park lodging? Go to www.nps.gov and click on Utah then Bryce then lodging to check. Take the number and call back if they say they are full as they get cancellations all the time.

Stay in the park if you can. We stayed in a deluxe cabin in Bryse and loved it...especially the fireplace.

I'm with these guys on staying inside the Park. Both times we went we stayed in one of the deluxe cabins. Being able to roll out of bed before sunrise and just walk to the rim meant a slightly later alarm. And even in late May, the fireplace was nice.

Another vote for staying in the park - no comparison!

I know staying in the park is almost always the way to go. However, the web site shows the room rate as over my budget by quite a bit. Other places?

Unlike at some parks where outside lodgings can be dozens of miles away from the attractions, those just outside Bryce are not too far away. I stayed at the Bryce Canyon Resort last year - it's no frills but okay.

To stay in the Park would be nice, but it was also over our budget when we went last summer. We stayed at the Ruby's Best Western Inn. It was nice and clean, was okay as you're not in your room much. My only complaint was that it was a little noisy at night when a group of motorcycles came in.

The Bryce View Hotel is 5 miles away. It is nice enough, has an indoor pool and a very good restaurant.
