Brunches in Milwaukee?

Which place has the better brunch--Boulevard Inn or Pandl's in Bayside? What is the dress code for both? The tourist websites I have checked weren't very specific and I assume some Fodorites out there can give me good info. Thanks!

Don't know about the quality of either, but I can tell you that the 'ambience' of the Boulevard Room, while pleasant enough, is really kind of a throwback to the late 50s or 60s...Which isn't a bad thing. But something you might want to know. It's a large, sort of ornate dining room, in the lobby of a vintage apartment building, in a great setting with a lake view. Had lunch there last year and thought it was very good.

While I haven't had brunch at either of those places I have heard that Pandl's is not all that great. I would suggest Hubbard Park Lodge in Shorewood along the Milwaukee River. It is an all you can eat buffet, but well done. It has a nice patio area which is great this time of the year. The spread is really nice with made to order crepes and waffles. Another suggestion is Murray Place on Murray just north of North Avenue. They have a lot of neat items to choose from.

Thanks for all replies. Had brunch at the Hubbard Park Lodge. It has a lovely setting and a terrific buffet. Just don't go on a hot day. They have no AC, just fans. We sat at an open window with the fan blowing on my neck and my lovely linen napkin still became a towel. Will return in a diff. season!
