Sorry - but that venue is not at all conveninet to the city. It's located in Nassau county - outside the town of Glen Cove and is used frequently for weddings - and the guess of the wedding.
To get to the city you would have to either cab (I have no idea how much) or drive to the Glen Cove train station (which is typically full unless you go before rush hour). The cost RT to Manhattan is going to be over $20 per person. And since this is the end of the line the trains takes from an hour to 1:10 and runs only once per hour.
If you have a rental car - it would be much better to dump the car, save that money - and put it towards a hotel either in or close to Manhattan (like Long Island city.
If you still have a rental car you could drive to and fro Manhattan - but then, in addition to the cost of the rental car you would have to pay about $12 a day back and forth for the bridge or tunnel - as well as about $30 per day to park it. (These savings would definitely pay for at least a hotel in Long Island City - only 10 minutes or so to Manhattan by subway.)
I believe your perseverance is leading you to places that just aren't going to work. If a hotel is at all convenient to Manhattan, they are going to charge more than the ones you are picking out.
Someone above explained that you need to stick with hotels that say New York, NY - plus avoid certain areas that you don;t want to be (such as Jamaica, etc).

I have just looked at several of the hotel discount websites and there is no hotel in NYC at that price that I can recommend. There are a couple in Manhattan that are essentially flop houses. There are a couple in outer boroughs (at one of which in the Bronx a guest was murdered by an intruder a couple of weeks ago.)
There are some near the airports that are either in bad neighborhoods or stuck by the side of the highway with no services and a long trek into Manhattan. Either taking a cab at $120 round trip or taking the hotel shuttle to the airport and then public transit to and fro Manhattan. That would be at least $16 per day per person and take about 1.5 hours in each direction.
It seems that if you would dump your rental car you could take that money and add it to your budget and get a hotel in Long island city (where many of the hotels don't have parking anyway).
And, while you are searching for what doesn;t exist the rooms that are available are being booked and you will end up paying more in the long run.

If you really want to keep your cost under $100 suggest you look at the Hosteling International on 103rd Street. It has a good reputation among student travelers and you can get a bed plus locker in a shared dorm room for about $40 per night each. You're right in Manhattan, near the subway, and there are a plethora of inexpensive restaurants nearby. Also, since the hostel is so large they have full services and even sometimes run their own group activities.
You might get in touch with them to see if they have a private room available. However, you would have to return your rental car or pay about $30 a night to park it in a garage.

It would help to know the exact dates and what your max $ amount is. From one of your other threads it sounds like you're in the northeast from Oct 11 -26, so I just picked the last three nights for NYC and checked Hotwire.
So, Oct 23 - 26 there is a 3* "Empire State Bldg area hotel" w/ 85 percent Hotwire customer satisfaction for $196/nt and a 2* "Long Island City - Greenpoint area hotel" also with 85 percent satisfaction, free parking and breakfast for $75/nt. This is in all likelihood the Howard Johnson Inn - it's a block or two from a subway stop, which would take you into Manhattan in no time.

In previous posts OP says they want to stick with $100 per night - which really lets out Manhattan. Hotels in LIC have been suggested several times - but they don;t seem to want to do that - don't know why.
