Why would you take your 12 year old son to a Broadway Play? Especially when you say "I don't know which one would be good for him." Take him to a Knicks or Rangers game, or take him to some of the seedy sights of NYC, but please dear god, don't take him to a B'way Show...

Hi Nina, my son went to his first ballet when he was 4,his first play when he was 6.He enjoyed everything and as a young adult, has such a good cultural background,he can talk to anyone about anything! instead of the usual guy-ballgame-how about the Mets-kind of chat. But he also can discuss how much better the NJ Devils are than the NY Rangers
Do you think he would like Oklahoma? Aida ,42nd Street,Mamma Mia (probably can't get tickets),Rent? Have fun!

I took my 10 year old sone and 13 year old daughter, last week, to see, Beauty and the Beast - it was the perfect first broadway show!(for kids) the music was wonderful, but the set was magical - this gets my vote! Or of course Lion King, though not as easy to get tickets for...Beauty you can now get half price tickets for the same day - or go to Playbill.com and see if they are still running a special (that's what we did)
