Broadway show for 12 yr old son.
 

I'll be in NY next week and planning to take my 12-year old son to a Broadway show. I dont know which one would be good for him. Can someone please recommend a few? Thanks

Why would you take your 12 year old son to a Broadway Play? Especially when you say "I don't know which one would be good for him." Take him to a Knicks or Rangers game, or take him to some of the seedy sights of NYC, but please dear god, don't take him to a B'way Show...

Why shouldn't she take her son to a Broadway Show? I've taken mine who are now 6 & 9 to many Broadway shows and they've always loved them.<BR><BR>Besides, the questions wasn't SHOULD I take him...it was which one should I take him to.

Hi Nina, my son went to his first ballet when he was 4,his first play when he was 6.He enjoyed everything and as a young adult,has such a good cultural background,he can talk to anyone about anything! instead of the usual guy-ballgame-how about the Mets-kind of chat.But he also can discuss how much better the NJ Devils are than the NY Rangers:)<BR>Do you think he would like Oklahoma? Aida ,42nd Street,Mamma Mia (probably can't get tickets),Rent? Have fun!

I would recommend the off B'way show "Blue Man Group."<BR><BR>You'll both have fun and leave feeling "good"<BR><BR>Very hard to describe the show, but almost everyone that sees it enjoys it!

I took my 10 year old sone and 13 year old daughter, last week, to see, Beauty and the Beast - it was the perfect first broadway show!(for kids) the music was wonderful, but the set was magical - this gets my vote! Or of course Lion King, though not as easy to get tickets for...Beauty you can now get half price tickets for the same day - or go to Playbill.com and see if they are still running a special (that's what we did)
