Breckenridge restaurants

Where is your favorite place to eat in or around town? We're looking for fun, funky, laid-back, original, off-the-beaten-path kind of places that have an inviting atmosphere and good food. Don't want to visit any fast-food or chain restaurants and aren't really interested in dressing up or fancy. Any suggestions?

I enjoyed Columbine Cafe for breakfast, and Crown Coffee for coffee and breakfast.

Dinners - sorry, nothing to write home about, although the food at both Blue River Bistro and Downstair's at Eric's was good.

I really liked the food at Amazing Grace.

213 Lincoln Avenue
Breckenridge, CO 80424
(970) 453-1445

Definitely a hippie atmosphere, but the food was terrific.

Thanks, we'll check into both - I like a place to start the day with good coffee and hippie atmosphere sounds like a "cool" change from the norm! What about surrounding areas? Does Dillon have any interesting places?

cmcfong, is Amazing Grace the one in the little yellow house? If so, I went to look at it, and loved the ambiance, but they didn't serve oatmeal, so that was out!

Mom, Crown Coffee is also a atmosphere - some chairs and tables, some sofas and comfortable chairs. The service is very friendly, too.

your request sounds just like either The Motherload Tavern - http://www.motherloadedtavern.com/Site_2/Welcome.html or the perennial Breck favorite Rasta Pasta - http://www.rastapasta.net/rasta-breckenridge.html. They're both on main street so not *off the beaten path* in location, but in attitude definitely. Save room for desert at Crepes a la Cart.
