Breckenridge Grocery Shopping?

Hi,
Do you guys know if Breck has a decent grocery store for shopping? We are flying into Denver and are wondering if we need to get groceries before we get to Breck .We will be staying for 5 nights and will be doing a lot of cooking at the house we rented. Thanks!

There is a Safeway at the turn off nine miles before Breckenridge and there are places for odds and ends in town.

The Safeway in Breck is nice and large and will have everything you need and/or want. It may be more expensive since Breck in general is more expensive (gas, restaurants, etc.) But the convenience of buying in Breck may outweigh the cost. Have a great trip!!

Actually, it's a City Market in Breckendridge, in the large plaza off Ski Hill Road. It's a normal, large-sized grocery store with everything you need. If you're staying in Breck, there's no need to shop elsewhere.

Actually, the City Market in Breckenridge is in a plaza on N. Park Ave just north of French Street.

There is a Safeway on the main drag (Hwy 9) in Frisco (which you'll have to drive through to get to Breck) about 8 miles north of Breckenridge.

When we were in Breck we went to the City Market and it is very nice-you should be able to find anything you want. We were surprised to find out the City Market is in the Kroger chain so we were able to use our Kroger card to get the "special price"-if you don't have a Kroger card you can get one while you are there and save some money.

Since everyone seems to be so interested in correcting everyone else it is actually City Market (mountain name for King Soopers in Denver) who in turn is own by Kroger. Not that it makes a whole lot of difference but it is good place for everything. Breckenridge is real town with lots of local who need to buy stuff so you should not have any problems.
