Breakfast near Stanford Mall CA

Looking for places to have a decent egg breakfast near Stanford Mall before shopping Black Friday.

Also does anyone know when date & time the Union Square xmas tree lighting is?

Peninsula Creamery on Hamilton Avenue in downtown would be good, so would Hobbees at Town and Country Village at the corner of Embarcadero and El Camino. I think Scott's Seafood, also in T&C serves breakfast now.

Ann's Coffee Shop on Santa Cruz Avenue in downtown Menlo Park is a local institution. Not pretty, but the best hash browns I've ever had.

Not sure of the hours, but there is a Palo Alto Creamery in the mall, next to Bloomingdale's, and they do server breakfast. Otherwise, I recommend Hobee's in Town & Country Village (corner of El Camino and Embarcadero, a very short hop from the mall).

Hobee's has great breakfasts and no worries about parking. The lines can be long on weekends, but you'll be there on a Friday? They open at 7:00; I'd get there then.

Still miss the breakfasts at the Good Earth on University Ave. . . .

If you are driving, and I assume you are, I like Stack's in Redwood City. A short ride away, and great breakfast!

There is also a Stacks a little closer to Stanford in Menlo Park on the corner of Santa Cruz and El Camino.

Joanie's Cafe on California Street.

My favorite breakfast place on earth is Campton Place in San Francisco....and my second favorite place is Il Fornaio in Palo Alto on Cowper at University. All of the places mentioned serve good ordinary breakfasts. Il Fornaio makes eggs and toast in the most marvelous ways.

Have a good time! That is a very fun weekend.
