Breakfast in Santa Barbara

I nend a place that serves great egg dishes, home made muffins etc... , with good coffee and peferably fresh squeezed orange juice. Location doesn't matter so much, although walking distance from Paseo Nuevo would be ideal... lunch and dinners I can handle... but I could sure use some good suggestions for earlier in the day!

My husband loves the Cajun Kitchen for breakfast. It is on Chapala, close to the parking lot for Paseo Nuevo Mall. It is a locals place, not fancy at all, with prices you can't beat. ($5-$6 for omelettes) I think they have a website where you can check out their menu.

Only steps from the Paseo Nuevo on State Street, there is Pierre Lafond's deli.
I love it for breakfast - and they have divine chocolate croissants (among quality choices of other foods - they have their own wine, too, but that's asking a bit too much for breakfast ).
You can take a look at their breakfast menu here:

The homepage is found at:

moneygirl (what a screen name!),

I wish I could be there. SoCal, Santa Barbara and a leisurely breakfast at Pierre Lafond would be a nice fix.

Hope it lives up to your expectations -and have a great time!
