Breakfast/Charleston, SC

Our flight arrives in Charleston at 9am. Can anyone recommend a nice place to have breakfast? We're staying at Governor's House and cannot check in 'til later in the day. Leaving next week.

Dear original noname,

McDonald's is not acceptable (unless one is in Rome and looking for clean rest rooms!).
Would prefer something a bit nicer...think we'll try something on King St.
Thanks for your splendid advice!...we may not have alternative.

Noname obviously isn't from South Carolina, and he has no taste when it comes to restaurants. Marianne's is a wonderful choice. And there are a dozen more near the Market.

Try the Francis Marion Hotel downtown or the 4-star Charelston Place. Can't go wrong.
