Breakfast/Charleston, SC
 

Our flight arrives in Charleston at 9am. Can anyone recommend a nice place to have breakfast? We're staying at Governor's House and cannot check in 'til later in the day. Leaving next week.

Dear original noname, <BR> <BR>McDonald's is not acceptable (unless one is in Rome and looking for clean rest rooms!). <BR>Would prefer something a bit nicer...think we'll try something on King St. <BR>Thanks for your splendid advice!...we may not have alternative.

Noname obviously isn't from South Carolina, and he has no taste when it comes to restaurants. Marianne's is a wonderful choice. And there are a dozen more near the Market.

Try the Francis Marion Hotel downtown or the 4-star Charelston Place. Can't go wrong.
